Formed in 2018 with an aim to revitalise the industry using an enthusiastic modern approach to current UK training methods, NAMBEX is a professional Instructor training, consulting, and UK independent accrediting body, providing training courses on various industrial equipment including MHE, MEWP, Order pickers, Reach and Counterbalance truck, Moffett, 360 excavators, Telescopic handlers, Dumpers, attachment training and more. NAMBEX prioritise the safe, efficient handling and training procedures within the workplace, NAMBEX assessments, courses and accreditation goes above and beyond by raising standards as standard!

How can we keep training consistent, when everybody is being taught differently?

We feel that it is time to stop inflicting the pain on candidates having to sit in a classroom for hours on end watching videos and trying to take in all regulations regarding the correct use and handling of all work equipment and start focusing more on the practicalities of actually operating plant safely. 

The ways in which we train all operators to a satisfactory standard has to change. We shouldn’t still be teaching the old methods in a modern world and although we still approve of theoretical training, who says it has to be done in a classroom?

All members of NAMBEX are urged to spend most of the time on any training course actually using the plant and giving all trainee’s the opportunity of gaining that all important experience. We have made available to all registered instructors and members a complete training syllabus fit for all types of plant and MHE training courses that we offer and part of these syllabi would be that of a study book.

Study books for all plant and machinery contain all of the basic principles of being able to operate the machine in a safe and efficient manner and also all basic information regarding the ACoP’s relevant to that type of plant / MHE. Having these study books ready for issuing to the candidates on day 1 of any course, enables the course instructor to proceed with the practical training element straight away as the study books are intended for the trainee’s to take home and read.

Everybody learns at a different rate and some people require us, as instructors to re-word certain things to help them understand. Although NAMBEX has given all of its registered members a complete training syllabus for all courses awarded by us, we understand, that sometimes on certain sites / jobs, the syllabus may have to change slightly to enable course progression. We aim to give all candidates the same information so as to keep the training to a uniformed standard, but the freedom to explain in their own words, showing their understanding of the way that plant and machinery operate.

All accredited members conform to the strict standards as set out by the Health and Safety Executive's (HSE's) Approved Code of Practice's in all related courses. NAMBEX Instructors will provide every individual trainee Instructor with the necessary study materials and relevant support needed whilst undergoing courses and thereafter.
 

Instructors will evaluate and prioritise time spent on specific elements within the course as assessed by the learning abilities and the level of skills required by the trainees. NAMBEX Instructors allocate time appropriately in a safe, suitable environment, allowing trainees to develop both cognitive and non-cognitive skills simultaneously, essentially taking an effective practical and theoretical approach that enables both outstanding learning and teaching skills that achieves competent results. By using a NAMBEX accredited Instructor, businesses large and small will ensure that they get the maximum practice and crucial experience for their employees during their training as possible.

All certificates and ID cards are produced by NAMBEX, to show uniformity and standardisation of the training received for all candidates. All certificates generated by us will come with a recommended re-test date within 5 years. We do not issue in-house certification.

All registered members are audited every 12 months to maintain the consistency in what we teach and to make sure they have all of the relevant documentation and insurances in place, should we need it. NAMBEX directors are available 24/7 for assistance to our members. 

Instructors are supported every step of the way by e-mail, WhatsApp, Phone, as well as the implementation of Annual Support Visits (ASV's) that help to ensure the continuity of standards.
